Every baby is unique and, getting to know your baby takes time. You’ve never met your baby before, so you won’t know what they want straight away.You need to get to know your baby over time so you can understand how to keep him or her happy.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re beginning to feel anxious or stressed. Sometimes talking to someone is a great help, your family and friends will always be there for you.  If you’re feeling stressed or worried about the impact this may have on your baby you can talk to your health visitor, your midwife, your GP or the NSPCC helpline advisor at any time day or night.
